With this post I have completed the March Challenge of posting a slice of life each day. My slices have been from every day stories, to mommy stories, to educational. My new goal is to continue with the Slice of Life posting every Tuesday but save other posts for Educational personal growth and reflection. This will not be everyday but I am determined to have at least 6 posts a month.
I remember starting this journey by joining Twitter back on February 15th. One day later my Facebook post showed my excitement that I had 7 followers. I never attended a tweeting class but I have dove in the deep end and never looked back. I now have 701 followers and more importantly 914 fellow educators that I Tweet, DM, and chat with to grow professionally. I am so thankful that I found this world of twitter and the many valuable resources it holds. A future post will be dedicated just to the amazing chats I am a part of and if you are not involved with twitter chats you are seriously under using twitter.
This blog was my next step in this journey and I adore reflecting through writing on my day, being a mommy, and education. I also love reading blogs from others like Dear Blake <—Follow her, great Mommy letters to her son. I have enjoyed reading and writing and find it so valuable. I use to worry about the visitor count or my follow count but this blog is for me and as long as my visits are meaningful that is all that matters.
My newest endeavor is Pinterest. Follow me—> Misty Stanton Pinterest Shameless I know, but would like more than 2 (one being my sister). Hoping to get followers so I can follow back. Love seeing Educators resources and DIY projects and Recipes and I really need to spend some time on Pinterest and beef up my boards. Maybe during Spring Break.
Looking back on my journey from Twitter to blogging and now Pinterest I am not sure how I made it without them.
During the month of March 2015, I completed a daily blog as part of the Slice of Life Story Challenge! More Slice of Life posts from the Final Day 31 can be found on Two Writing Teachers.
