He Named Me Malala

So excited today when a new movie arrived in my mailbox. He Named Me Malala is a documentary on Malala Yousafzai.  It documents her recovery after the Taliban tries to kill her for speaking out on behalf of girls’ education. This strong Pakistani teenager emerges as a leading advocate for children’s rights and the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.malala

I was able to receive a free copy through the Malala Fund.  You can also find teacher resources and a curriculum guide at World View. I am very excited to share this resource with my teachers and next year with my students when I am back in a classroom.

Love this inspirational story of bravery and survival. Hope those I share it with will enjoy it as well.

  1. I didn’t know about this documentary, so thank you for sharing! Several of my students have read her book, so I am sure they will be excited about this documentary, too. Hers is a powerful story against oppression. Thanks again for sharing!
