So excited today when a new movie arrived in my mailbox. He Named Me Malala is a documentary on Malala Yousafzai. It documents her recovery after the Taliban tries to kill her for speaking out on behalf of girls’ education. This strong Pakistani teenager emerges as a leading advocate for children’s rights and the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
I was able to receive a free copy through the Malala Fund. You can also find teacher resources and a curriculum guide at World View. I am very excited to share this resource with my teachers and next year with my students when I am back in a classroom.
Love this inspirational story of bravery and survival. Hope those I share it with will enjoy it as well.
During the month of March 2016, I will be completing a daily blog as part of the Slice of Life Story Challenge! More Slice of Life posts from Day 14 can be found on Two Writing Teachers.
