Organizational Patterns
– Compare and Contrast the two brothers in text and illustration – Cause and Effect of each brother’s bakery fire
– Chronological Order of fire timelines for both bakeries

Word Choice
– Words used to describe each brother’s bakery and baked goods

Example: “Elaborate” vs. “Simple”

Predictions
– Which brother’s bakery would be more successful?
– What will happen to each bakery because of the fire?

Extension Activity
– Design a cupcake for either brother describing the process to make it and how it would look
